The School

Sufism is different from education of the mind or body which focuses on character building, skills development or professional qualifications. Through education of the heart, Sufism taps the heart’s boundless potential to unravel the universe of consciousness, so aspirants gain insights that guide their lives and act as instruments for understanding self and God. Aspirants on the Sufi path understand the truth that only an awakened heart can attain God-consciousness and not the mind. By discovering the secrets of awakening the heart they are able to ascertain and live the knowledge that was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) who said “The vessels of your Lord are the hearts of His righteous slaves, and the most beloved to Him are the softest and most tender ones.” (al-Tabarani).

In the words of our beloved Grand Shaykh Hazrat Azad Rasool Saheb (ra) “the school aims to search those areas of human nature and the hidden origins of human knowledge that are still unexplored by science and reason”. Its aim is not to analytically explain philosophical challenges or religious doctrines. It basically promotes a Path of personal experience and actual practice.
